On this episode of The Matt Forney Show, I discuss my recent trip to Lviv, Ukraine, my observations on Ukrainian culture, my experiences dating Ukrainian girls, and the deteriorating political and economic situation in the country. I also discuss Big Social and corporate media’s war on alternative media, how alt-media sites are losing their ability to sustain themselves financially, and explain why I’m not going to be fundraising to cover major political or news stories for the foreseeable future.

    Matt,

Great podcast. When you started talking about the demonetizing of the alt right I was really taken aback. This is extremely concerning and I really hope there is a significant backlash soon. I particularly liked your analysis that Trump’s election has ironically emboldened free speech suppression. I would love to hear more about this topic.

As for your transition away from political reporting, I’m disappointed, but completely understand. If I was richer, and WHEN I get some more capital, I’ll happily sponsor some of your journalistic efforts. I’ll still chip in a few bucks now though.

Although I’m not totally familiar with your old work, from what little I do know, from your older podcasts, you seem much, much happier overall.

Completely concur on your assessment of Eastern European coldness toward strangers. Cannot stand the fake sincerity of the US.

Overall, I really enjoy your historical commentary and analysis. Very interesting.

    Good luck and God speed!
