I’m Covering the Republican and Democratic National Conventions for Red Ice

UPDATE: As of Thursday, July 14th, I’ve made my fundraising goal. Thanks to everyone who donated. If you still want to help me out, you’re welcome to do so.

I’m pleased to announce that I will be partnering with Red Ice to cover the Republican and Democratic National Conventions starting next week.

For those of you not familiar with Red Ice, they’re an alternative right, pro-European radio and TV website best known for their radio programs Red Ice Radio, hosted by Henrik Palmgren, and Radio 3Fourteen, hosted by Lana Lokteff. I’ve appeared as a guest on Red Ice Radio in the past.

In the past few months, Red Ice has expanded into covering major news events with live video via YouTube, including Identity Evropa’s clash with leftists at their event at UC Berkeley and the American Renaissance conference. I will be broadcasting live video coverage from both the RNC and DNC for Red Ice, along with other writers, journalists and personalities in attendance, in addition to daily articles for Right On and updates on my blog.

This is monumental. Red Ice and I will be bringing you live coverage of both conventions as they unfold. Instead of having to wait for me to upload video to my YouTube channel after the fact or relying on low-quality Periscope broadcasts, I’ll be broadcasting high-quality video live on YouTube and hosted by Henrik and Lana. This is the next step in the evolution of alternative media, freeing us from relying on the MSM and their lies.

However, in order for me to do this, I need your help.

For Red Ice Subscribers: Who is Matt Forney?

For the past six months, I’ve been extensively reporting on the presidential election with first-hand reports of campaign events, rallies and protests. My work has been published at Right On, Return of Kings, my own blog and my YouTube channel. You can view some highlights below:

In addition to the election, I’ve covered other major events on location, including the leftist shutdown of Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos’ speech at DePaul University, #BlackLivesMatter’s protests against the shooting death of Laquan McDonald last year, and this year’s American Renaissance conference. I’ve also broken other important stories, such as reporting on how leftist talk show host Cenk Uygur has been scamming people through Wolf PAC.

By partnering with Red Ice to cover the Republican and Democratic conventions, I’m looking to take my coverage to the next level.

How You Can Help

1. Donate.

Independent reporting costs money. I’m currently looking to raise $2,500 by Thursday, July 14, to cover the conventions, which will take care of all my expenses: accommodation, transportation (car rental, metro fare, gas, tolls), food, equipment purchases (additional portable phone chargers, wireless microphones, extra data for my phone plan etc.), and other miscellaneous costs.

As of this writing, I’ve raised $2,426. The more money I can get, the better I’ll be able to cover the conventions (for example, I can purchase better equipment).

All public donation links are currently suspended. Please email me here if you are interested in donating.

2. Help film the RNC and/or DNC with me.

I’m only one man, and while I’ll be working with Edwin Oslan in Cleveland and Karl Ushanka in Philadelphia, we need as many people on the ground as possible to film the conventions. You don’t need any special equipment, and you don’t even need to be on camera: you just need a smartphone and Skype. If you’re going to be in Cleveland and/or Philly and want to help out Red Ice by filming the action, get in contact with Henrik or me by clicking here or here, respectively.

3. Help provide security for me and others reporting for Red Ice.

Given the potentially violent situation at both conventions, I could become a target if I’m alone. For example, during Red Ice’s live coverage of Traditionalist Youth Network’s protest at the California State Capitol, one of their cameramen was attacked by antifas. By traveling in a group, we’ll be able to watch each others’ backs and dissuade hooligans from messing with us. If you’re interested in joining up with me (or other cameramen), again, get in contact with Henrik or me by clicking here or here, respectively.

I appreciate any support you can provide, and I thank those who helped me out in the past, whether it was by donating, sharing my work, providing a place for me to crash while I was out reporting, or so on. Together, we can get the real story out there.
