The Hungarian Election: Viktor Orbán Declares War on Globalism

Last Thursday, March 15, is the most important holiday in Hungary. It’s a commemoration of the 1848 Hungarian revolution, in which the people of Hungary rose up in revolt against the Austrian Empire. They managed to win, too, until the Austrians called in their Russian allies to squash the revolution, in a recurring pattern of Russia invading and imposing tyranny on Hungary.

Last Thursday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán gave a speech outside the Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest, marking the 170th anniversary of the revolution. In the speech, he also opened fire on the forces that are seeking to destroy Hungary and turn it into an African country, a speech that fired up the crowd and caused the leftist opposition to shit their pants.

I was at the event. Well over 100,000 people flooded downtown Budapest to hear Orbán speak. In addition to countless Hungarians who came from all over the country, a delegation of Polish nationalists also came to show solidarity with Hungary’s struggle against globalism and multiculturalism. Prior to Orbán’s speech, there was a show with dancing and music to commemorate the 1848 uprising.

While my Hungarian isn’t that great, I was able to pick up bits and pieces of Orbán’s speech. In particular, when he mentioned “Soros” and “NGOs,” the crowd went wild. Here’s a short clip of Orbán speaking: I would have recorded more, but I was near the back of the audience and the people in front of me were continuously throwing up umbrellas and Fidesz signs, blocking my view.

Some choice quotes from Orbán’s speech:

We are expected to willingly hand over [our country] within a few decades…to foreigners from other continents who don’t speak our language, respect our culture, our laws, or our way of life.

They want people other than us or our descendants to live here from now on.

This is our homeland, our life, and since we don’t have another one, we will fight for it till the very end and we will never give it up.

If we allow it, then over the next one or two decades, tens of millions of people will set off for Europe from Africa and the Middle East. Brussels won’t protect Europe. It is not interested in stopping, but rather in supporting and organising migration.

We are fighting an enemy that is different from us. Not open, but hiding; not straightforward but crafty; not honest but base; does not believe in working but speculates with money; does not have its own homeland but feels it owns the whole world.

Hungarians were alone in 2010 when we stood up, revolted, and started fighting in Brussels and in other centres of the empire…later Poles, Slovaks, and Czechs joined in support of the Hungarian government’s efforts.

The Hungarian left has lost their minds over Orbán’s words, falsely accusing him of wanting to suppress opposition parties after the election. The reason they’re going insane is because every word Orbán said was true, and because there’s no way Jobbik or any of the other opposition parties can compete. Viktor Orbán has a clear vision for Hungary and Europe; the opposition merely wants to kowtow to Brussels and bend the knee to Muslim rapists.

My friends in the Hungarian press tell me that Fidesz is all-but-certain to win reelection, and the leftist opposition will be further fragmented, making it even more difficult for them to resist Orbán’s agenda. Hungary is leading the way out of globalism and poz, and the rest of the world will soon follow its lead.
