Twitter Has Restored My Account

Nearly four days after I was suspended from Twitter for unknown reasons, my account (@basedmattforney) has been restored. Here is the email I got from Twitter explaining why I was banned in the first place:

Twitter has automated systems that find and remove multiple automated spam accounts in bulk. Unfortunately, it looks like your account got caught up in one of these spam groups by mistake.

We’ve unsuspended your account; sorry for the inconvenience.

Please note that it may take an hour or so for your follower and following numbers to return to normal.

Please do not respond to this email as replies will not be monitored.

I’m sure you believe this explanation as much as I do. More likely, Twitter restored my account because they’re fearful of a backlash, akin to how Milo Yiannopoulos’ account was suspended twice in the past month and restored quickly after his fans became outraged. A number of other alt-righters have been suspended on Twitter in the past week (including AdolfJoeBiden and the Cuckservative), and the higher-ups might be afraid that they’re going too fast, too quickly.

In any event, this crisis is over. I’ll be retaining my alt account @onemattforney in case this happens again, but follow @basedmattforney if you want my latest updates. Thanks to those of you who spread the news of Twitter’s leftist censorship: you played a big role in restoring my account.

  • Your post almost makes me believe that unsuspending you is a good thing. You get to continue to use a tool run by people you know are hostile to your beliefs instead of cutting off the rotting arm that is your twitter account.

  • I am amazed he doesn’t add “Thank you massa for allowing me to use your FINE, FINE tool. I promise to behave like a good house slave.”
